aidan's first day of kindy.

aidan's first day of kindergarten was today.

needless to say... i cried. and again, needless to say, she told me "don't crrrrrry, mommy."

i cried this past week thinking that my little best bud was going to be at school all.day.long. which, keep in mind, is not that much more than last year lol she goes from 8-3pm now. last year she was 9-2pm.

but kindy is so different.

its so grown up.

i have an elementary schooler now.

she was so excited. we got her hair cut. we got a new dress. new backpack. new lunch box. new water bottle. she knew she'd have to make new friends - and although that made her nervous, she knows that she's good at it.

while taking her hand and walking her in this morning, i teared up. knowing she'd be dropped off and walking to the lunchroom like a big girl. knowing that she would have more personal responsibility at school. and also knowing that she's the perfect candidate for all of it. she's so mature for her age. so smart. she cant wait learn to read (better than she does now). she loves math and science. she loves crafts and music.

so letting go was hard. but seeing her cute face run up to the car at pick up was worth the tears. she's my big girl. love you, aidan.

all clean!

miller is 6 months old.

oh my heck time flies.




let me start with some stats.

she is probably about 12lbs or so. i have no idea on height or anything (her appt isnt til sept bc of our schedule right now). she wears 3-6 month clothes.


she is an okay sleeper. she goes to bed at about 730 and then i usually have to rock her about an hour later but thats it. then she down for a while. recently, she's been waking up at like 3/4am, but thats bc she is boogery lol

she also MOVES all around her crib on her back. she shimmies everywhere. so here is the back of her head tupee.



still BFing :) yay me! eating same times as usual. little love.

things she can do:

1. roll over both ways.


2. sit tripod for a few seconds ;)


3. grab for things. like my cell phone. and her toes.

4. stand at the couch if i put her there. lol

5.  be a sweetie pie and makes us smile all day long.

she is just so fun. happy 1/2 birthday miller :)

staying home.

i am so lucky that we have a gameroom. it makes things so much easier when its too hot to go out and play and when we have no where to go.
 


i got a few of miller, too, but those are going on the next post for her 6 months ;)

sawyer turns 4.

oh sawyer.

the class clown. the crazy kid. the most stubborn. the one who doesn't listen and tells me "youre ruining my life!!" when i ask her to get something from her room or put down the broom in the kitchen. the kid who is unaffected by time outs. whose room is never clean more than 24 hours.

the girl who hasnt worn PJs to bed in over a year bc its not a dress. who wears tulle 95% of the time. who hasnt worn pants in that same year (leggings under dresses are only sometimes okay). and who puts all dresses and skirts to a "spin test" before wearing.

who needs a few more cuddles when she is upset. sawyer's the one who responds best to sweet talk.

i love you.

you are so different than your sisters. and thats my favorite part about you.

she thinks she is a princess and changes her name to suit. chloe, annaliese, etc... and carries a wand regularly.

happy 4th birthday! :) i can't believe how fast time has flown.

her party (and EJ turned 30 this past wkend, but i'll post that in another blog post) was the day before :) what a wonderful group of family and friends we have. thank you so much for everything.
